The Serena Also Rises

I 'm so disappointed with this episode, it's so far the lamest of the season: every single character changes into a pathetic psycho, not even due to an interesting event, but only by a few nonsense little things. We love Blair for her clever b*tchness, not her tears or crazy ideas. Intentionally ruining her Mom's show, Queen B is sure smarter than that! And what happened to my Chuck Bass? Where is the hedonic party goer? I only saw a shadow deep in sadness and pertubance - does he have a split personality or what?

Not to mention the boring and contrived story around Dan: if Brooklyn boy is out with Upper East Side evil, shouldn't the duo do something more exciting than a couple of shots?

No Nate, not even one talk about him; blurry Gossip Girl commentary, lack of snappy sassy oneliner (Are you gay? the exception); the whole episode revolves outside of school with boring story lines of secondary characters, who cares about Bart Bass?, etc.

No XO, GG, episode like this really tests my trust in you.

So true. I want to see Ruthless Chuck. It looks like this season is going to get to the core of why he is the way he is though. I hope they hurry because im ready for some real Chuck Bass action. And Im sorry but Nate is nothing but a pretty face. Hes a bore and thats why they have ran out of storylines for him. Seriously was he even mentioned tonight?? Dan has become a more important character than him, hell even Rufus and Lily and Bart.lol Nate who??

N was at his grandparents this episode.  But youre right, they have ran out of storylines for him.  The only thing going right now is his deal with the Captain?  What do you all think is the secret Lilly is hiding from Eric and S?  I have NO idea.  And C will definitely get his revenge on D, even if it will be with a silky neck wrap on!  I cant believe we have to wait two more weeks to see the next episode!  The S and B drama isnt over either because of the scenes they showed B throwing something at S back.  And I like Little J being bad.  Shes the baddest of them all sometimes.  Afterall, she learned from Queen B!  We have no idea whats in store for this season!  LOVE IT GG

I agree completley that this is Chuck's plan. It's so obvious because it happened before with the pregnancy scare when Blaie had no one else to turn to but Chuck. I feel reallt bad for Chuck because his dad is so mean to him and blames him for killing his mom. Anyway, Serena should have accepted Blair's apology. She is so annoying!!!!!

S wants her independance back, it's simple.

B is having a hard time accepting that

As for what a lot of you are saying they couldn't have had Nate around because then there is no way that Chuck would talk to Dan let alone be desperate enough to open up to him. Chuck would probably just hang out with Nate.

And what about Jenny dropping out of school. Is that even legal? She's only in tenth grade.

In my opinion, Blair's appeal is that she is a bitch (and a fantastic one at that) in order to hide her insecurities; however, underneath it all, though, she has a heart of gold. My favorite scene in this episode was when B stood up for Jenny--Blair is only a bitch when the other person deserves it.

Serena is clearly an awful friend and the most malleable person ever (hi, can you grow a backbone please?). She does whatever the person standing next to her tells her to do--it is incredibly annoying.

TEAM BLAIR...can't wait until she's back on top.
