The Grandfather: Part II

First of all, to hopefully semi-settle this Blair matturity argument I will bestow upon you all my opinion. hehe. Blair's been mature for a long time..(in a Blair-like way of course). She's just Blair as Chuck always says. She's not going to change or mature any more. She might get wiser and see things in different ways but mature, no. I believe her maturity level is at its max.

On the episode: Serena frackin' annoys the hell out of me sometimes but I'm glad Blair didn't give in and apologize. I'm a huge Blair/Leighton Meester supporter (obviously) and I think she should start to definitely get some more front-runner qualities. For example, it seems like Blake Lively (no problem with her) always gets more recognition at events and even with her acting which in my opinion Leighton is a much better actor. Sorry I know this isn't really abou the episode but whatevs. It seems Blake just gets more publicity and stuff because she's the tall, blonde more bubbly of the two. And THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. I just wish Leighton would get more I guess. Sorry.

The epi. was really good. I loved, loved, loved how Blair after learning that Brandeis was a call girl was just kind of like "eh." And while she was listening to her speil she had this look on her face. Chair is love. I love them.

D&S should get back together! I don't care about the whole BUT rufus and lily are together. so?! It's not like they're actually brother and sister. IDK. As annoying as D&S can be, seeing Dan make out with anyone other than Serena still bothers me.

    What do you say?

I thought this episode was actually rather bad, other than the good decieving Tripp's wife did, how we finally see the Grandfather in a softer light of having no control at the end, and how Nate finally became a real man.

On the other hand, I thought what Blair did was completely rude and not even hitting her usual awesome Blair Bitch level. It just went right past bitchy and hit "utter turn-off". To the extent it was actually awesome when she got her face pushed into the cake, she pretty much deserved that for calling her own bestfriend a prostitute when she should know about how Serena isn't even sleeping with the guy; Plus, it was Blair who actually made Serena have to get together with him publicly in order to save her own job since Blair practically ruined it with the whole bar thing. Both Blair & Serena were really immature for the starting of this episode, but at least Serena went back to being herself when she apologised to Blair and quit her job later.

What I don't get is how Blair still wouldn't admit to her own faults after just finding out Brandeis is truly a prostitute and realising Serena was right about it, that Blair had still walked away when Serena gazed at her apologeticly right after sending the drunk "boyfriend" off. Like, at least show some remorse for dissing your own bestfriend for life off.

Oh, and I really didn't like how Chuck told off Serena when he was the reason why Blair & Serena had started fighting with each other. Blair & Serena have the BEST friendship I've seen in Gossip Girl, it made me really dislike Chuck for pushing it all on Serena when he should be talking to both and making both of them apologise to each another. Anyone would know that Blair wouldn't take an apology, so it was pretty pointless to get Serena to apologise without talking to Blair first. However, at least Chuck became so much more himself and made up for this in Episode 9. & favourite Blair & Serena bestfriends are back, finally! :D
