Blair's REAL love

    I'm half way through the books and whatever is in there essentially is very different to what's on TV show... And I like them both. In the book I would not even think of a possibility of Chuck and Blair getting together, however, in the show I think that Chuck and Blair are the best couple ever! Leighton's and Ed's chemistry is undeniable and sometimes makers of the show have to go with just that-chemistry! And in my POV these two work so well together!

    Im gonna say something and I know that Im in absolute minority here, but they are my absolute favourites: Serena and Nate... That's who I root for as a couple (and Chuck and Blair of course!)

    the books and the show are too too different to even compare them.  the general story is there (kinda) but if the show was anything like the book Nate and Chuck wouldn't be friends (they make Chuck out to be way gross in the books) and Serena would never date Dan (Dan is also made out to be pretty gross in the books).  They definately don't go into how deep of a history Serena and Nate have in the show at all, which dissapoints me.  I love the show and the books for totally different reasons: the books b/c of the love triangle of serena/blair/nate and the show b/c of the relationship between dan and serena!

    Yeah they changed a LOT in the tv series! But I still totally love the show! Lol!

    Yeah, i agree with crumble and katie...As I already said before, the books and the show are two completely different things...And you have them that way, otherwise you wil end up haven two differnet personalities, because no one who read all the books and liked them as what they were( for example someone like me) can say that they really like the show because it is like the book..And while I was reading the books, i was always wondering when someone would make it into a show..but i would have never imagined THAT result..it is completely different, but has its own style(not to mention the HOT actors), so...

    So for everyone whi is confues by the number of books: there are 11 Gossip Girl books that deal with Serena, Blair etc. as seniors in school(because that is what they really are) and 1 prequel(so the story before all the other books started=)) and then there is a follow-up, called the Carlyles, where Gossip Girl is still in new York and there are different main people...I haven't read it yet and I don't think I really will...

    And returning to Blair's Real Love(since this is what that topic is about) I still think that in the books, there is no real one for her(as far as humans go)..maybe yale..?

    In the show, it is sooo obviously obvious(to me at least) that i don't even think I have to repeat it...=)

    Blair + Chuck =

    Aaaalso, Ed + Leighton (would) = possibly hottest couple ever!!(if only...*hopeful sigh*)

    Yeah, in the books, Chuck and Blair are two characters never expected to be together,

    People who have read the books before the tv show came out (like me) first expected Nate and Blair to always want each other no matter what, however, the tv series noticably shows that only Blair seems to always want Nate, whilst Nate flits between girls, (Serena, Vanessa)

    I think, in the show, Nate and Blair shouldn't be together, thats just my opinion though.

    I don't think Nate is that interested in Blair, unless he knows he can't have her anymore. (When Chuck and Blair had thier secret affair and Nate wanted her back)

    Chuck however seems like he has cared about Blair since the start of the Tv series (when Nate was still in love with Serena) and I think he messed up in the finale,

    But all my hopes are in Chuck and Blair. :]

    Blair should be with Chuck, no question about it. I haven't read the books so Nate and Blair might fit in those stories but in the TV show it has to end up Chuck and Blair. (Josh Schwarts, I think it was him, has said that the books and the show will not be alike at all except for the Gossip Girl thing, They've changed the characters and the plot in the show so you can't really compare it to the books. ) Chuck and Blair  Ed and Leighton

    i love the books! i read them like 3 years ago! and am re-reading them again!

    a lot is different like vanessa and dan being friends and dan smoking and bein a writer!

    has anyone read the books 'the it girl' i think its called, it stars jenny and she is in the crowd (like on the series)

    Blair's real love is probaly Chuck. That chemistry its hard to find. I love them!
