Reply to PostDair fans, why do you prefer them over Chair?

So I´ve read lately about people wanting Dan and Blair together and I´m curious of why you do.
Especially about Dan being better for Blair than Chuck. People say that Chuck is a bad boyfriend and that Dan would treat her better but I´m not so sure about that. I´m just thinking about last year and the way he treated Serena, and I just don´t know if he would be different with Blair.
And please try not to turn this into another Chair vs Dair thread were everyone is rude to each other.

WKA, I appreciate your efforts, but I'm going to be honest. No one's going to listen, and people will turn this into a Chair vs. Dair. But before they do, I'm going to voice my opinions.
I'm a Chair fan before a Dair fan, but I want both to happen in the course of the show. I've loved Chair since 1.07 (as expected), and I've been rooting for them since. But the thing is... we know what Chair's like. We know how they will be. The way they are now is GREAT - I'm one of the few fans of their relationship in season three.
But the thing with Chair is that it was amazing when there was the potential. Back in 1.02 and 1.03, we saw the potential for them to be good. Then when the limo scene happened, a whole lot more of the people saw potential.
Enter Dair. The thing is, we can see potential in Dair, just like people saw potential in Chair. We can see Dair happening, and we can see it being amazing when it does. We want Dair because Dan needs a wake-up call, and Blair needs a wake-up call, and it would just be very easy for them to have a drunken college night, or comfort-sex post-Chuck break-up.
I love Chair, and as I said, I like Chair more than Dair. If Dair happened, a lot of us don't want it endgame - we just want it to happen. I'm sick and tired of everyone saying "Dair is epic fail!" when it's never happened. I'm sure a lot of NB fans became CB fans... and that back in the day, there were NB fans saying "Chair is epic fail!" before 1.07. And then what? - Chair became the powercouple.
Just saying. There's so much potential there to be epic, and epic it shall be when it happens. Because foreshadowing is never wrong.

I´m glad to here it because I also like their relationship. I wasn´t so satisfied with 3x01, but I think the episodes have gotten better since then.

Yeah I totally agree. I don´t think people should judge a pairing too much until they´ve actually seen them together.

No offense, but this is a very, very odd reason not to want them to happen, besides, awkward Dan and Blair around eachother after sleeping together would be fucking hilarious.

Nobody want's that for Dan and Blair, if it happened that way we'd be pissed.

I'm first and foremost a chair fan, but i think blair and dan sneaking around behind people's backs (not cheating on chuck..so maybe in an Alternate Universe or if chair broke up for a few epi) and having a torrid affair, but when they're around people they act like they hate each other would be hot.

The thing that would worry me most about Dair is I think Dan could potential kill everything I love about Blair (Not saying she's the way I love her this season, though her final scene with the minions was great in the last episode). Dan kinda killed Serena's character for me, she just didn't seem 'free' when she was around him, in the episode where they where broke up (and NOT pining for each other) Serena was at her best.
I think a hook up and nothing more could be funny, like I said in a different thread, Dan and Blair's morning after scene would be hilarious. I can just imagine Blair's face as she hesitantly lift the covers and finds a naked Humphrey. Im not really into the idea of anything more between them though.
One good thing I can say about them is, they probably wouldnt repulse me as much as Chuck/Vanessa did, but I often wonder if CV was so bad because of the storyline that brought them together...

Now that I think about it for a moment, you´re totally right. It would be really hilarious to see them be all freaked out and agreeing to pretend it never happened. But of course when they would see each other again it would still be awkward.

Possibly, but it could also be very hot, as in they couldn't stop thinking about eachother and want to do it again, I can just imagine them running into eachother, but in the middle of it all a shove leads to secks.
You see, Dair has this potential still, they'd be new and fresh, and goddamn why aren't they happening?

Don't worry, the writers are doing that already(and she's with Chuck, which isn't helping either.)

That wasn't exactly Dan's fault, in the beggining they were both great for eachother, but in the end Serena's inability to trust Dan, and Dan's inability to deal with the fact that his "perfect girl" wasn't so perfect led to their demise, they did it all to themselves because of preconcieved notions they had of eachother, they just couldn't deal with them.
I also agree that they're both better apart.

Their storyline being horrible was all it was, IMO, i could've gotten behind it myself if it was done properly, but that's just me.

Well I was thinking that they would be in a public place, surrounded by other people (for example Serena), and that they´d both be unprepared for it. And then they would try to be normal but still not succed.
I can definitley picture that, but the hot part.....not so sure about that. I guess that´s a thing I would have too see first.

Mehh I don't really ship anyone but Blair and her being happy. :)
And from the last episodes it dosen't look like Chuck has been making her feel good.
