I was wondering the same thing right now, on another topic, but I don't know... I guess it is Cruel Summer, but I don't really know who's performing it... Bananarama, Ace of Base... none of them, who knows?

I was listening to different versions of Cruel Summer on itunes and one of them with 'Studio Group' listed as the artist sounds like the song in the promo, I'm not absolutely sure though. Hope that helps!

Does anyone know the name of the song playing during the promo featuring Blair and Serena, where Blair asks if she's done anything fun over the summer? The lyrics are in French... even a band name would help!

The french song is "ca plane pour moi" by Plastic Bertrand. Hope that helps!

The song featured in the 55MPH promo, as well as whatever others share the same song, is called, "On My Way" by "Billy Boy on Poison." The song on the Girl Talk promo, where Blair and Serena are talking about who Serena had fun with is called, "Ca Plane Pour Moi" by "Plastic Bertrand." I have no idea why you guys mentioned, "Cruel Summer," because it isn't featured on any of the Gossip Girl promos.
