Much loved GG star Blake Lively is tired of Gossip Girl and admits that Gossip Girl is holding her back from persuing her movie career.
The 21 year old actress confesses that shooting Gossip girl is getting in the way of film offers.
“We shoot nine months out of the year, so there are so many films I can’t do.On my latest movie I would go and take a day off from Gossip Girl in New York and go to Connecticut and shoot that and then come back the next day. And they don’t really like to share you.”
Lets hope they’re willing to share for a little bit longer!

I was bored looking at pictures and came across this article on blakelivleynews.com dated Mar. 27 2009. I couldn't believe she would say that!
I love Blake and she is my favorite on Gossip Girl and I can see how shooting 9 out 12 months a year can be tiring, but Gossip Girl is so popular and you get so many perks from the show I don't know how you could diss it.
Hopefully she will stick around for a long time because GG would be the same without her!
WE LOVE YOU BLAKE AND PLEASE DON'T GO!

shes lucky, she shouldnt be complaining. gossip girl has basically made her really popular. and she gets perks, anyone who complains about that is crazy. im sure she gets paid enough anyways. i'd rather be in gossip girl than be a movie actress.

Really, no one on that show has the right to complain. i'd give my left arm to have her luck, her job, her lifestyle. i wish every day i could be on a fun show like that filming 9 months of a year. but no, i'm in college for those same 9 months, buried in books working my ass off whilst living a depressed life. they can't just be happy with the fact that their lives are better than so many other people's. they have to bitch about it. blake, if you'd like to trade lives, I'd gladly oblige. otherwise gg actors, stop the bitching.
fyi, penn's complained too. "When it comes to his role on Gossip Girl Penn Badgley says it’s not challenging enough and he’s ready to find a role that is."

If this is in fact true, then Blake has no one to blame but herself. She should have known what she was getting into when she decided to try out for a main character on the show and signed a contract binding her to GG for so many seasons. And as for Penn, why the fuck would you try out to play Dan Humphrey, hypocrite extraordinaire, if you wanted a challenging role? Again, no one to blame but himself.

I don't know if Blake actually audtioned for the role, I think Josh, the creator, had said he wrote the role of Serena for Blake Lively and he would just give it to her without an audtion.
Again I am not exactly sure, but I think it was something like that.
But I agree, they should NOT be complaining, and I didn't know Penn was mad too, they just can't be grateful for what they have.

yeah she still didnt have to agree to the rold, and i agree with you Kate, they've got it pretty damn good, they will make more money than us people who have to go to college and get an education and work our asses off. so there should be noo complaining, i would love to have that great of a lifestyle at 21!

I'm pretty sure she signed a contract lol.
and I realllyy hope she doesn't leave GG; she was basically the POINT of the show when it first started. obviously now she shares that importance with other characters, but still, GG wouldn't be GG without Serena Van Der Woodsen.

I think I understand Blake that she's tired of GG, everything gets tireful or boring if you have done something a long time. Okay, GG is pretty intresting show and playing Serena isn't so bad at all, but playing Dan especially right now when D doesn't have any story in season 2 maybe in season 3 also then it's maybe a bit boring for him...I don't understand anything what I wanted to tell you but yeah.. wadeva lol

she's just angry that serena got so boring... leighton meester's role is way more interesting.
but it would be stupid for her to leave gg. we all know what happend to Mischa Barton...
