Reply to PostGood Couple or not?
I think they kinda look cute together, but i'd much rather see him with Jessica Szchor (Vanessa) in real life and on the show.

I think they would be really cute together in real life, but thats prolly bc i love them on the show. As for Dan and Vanessa, totally dont want them together.
I know in the books he gets with her but on the show Serena and Dan are the cutest couple, I mean Dan has liked her forever and finally has her. Also on the first epi gossip girl called Serena "the love of his life" so i hope they are like the Seth and Summer of the O.C. where they are mostly together and rarely break up unlike ryan and marissa

See...here's my reasoning.
Serena is a great girl, but she's still a spoiled brat, I don't think that Dan has enough to satisfy her. Even though Serena has changed a lot since her romp with Nate, I don't think she's good enough for Dan, Dan and Serena aren't really even friends. They are just physically attracted to each other. It's different with Vanessa. I mean, he's attracted to Vanessa AND they can talk about anything. Dan and Serena have a flame. And as we all know....flames burn out. I love Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) and I think that the show totally ignores her beauty. I think she is the prettiest girl on the cast. Vanessa is so myseterious, yet...relatable. Her and Dan are made for each other.

i think Dan and Serena are great together...
even if Serena is a brat, she is just a simple girl deep within....
dont know about Vanessa.....havent seen (noticed) her on screen....
but i really really like Dan for myself...lolz!

Eventhough dan and vanessa are good friends I don't see them together as a couple; he's in love with serena, and I do think they are friends as well as being attracted to eachother. As serena said he's not six anymore, he's growing up and discovering what its like to be in love. Vanessa is gorgeous and yes serena is attractive in a more obvious way, I really don't think dan see's vanessa in that way anymore. Dan and serena are way more than just a flame; if they werent I doubt they would have lasted this long and fought to be together, serena practically begged her mum not to go with rufus because her and dans relationship felt like forever. I really doubt anything will happen between dan and vanessa as long as serena is in his life and i'm glad about that.

Yeah i do agree that Vanessa is completely under utilized. However I do not think putting her with dan will help that either. I love the fact that she’s got her own uniqueness and that since shes the only one who doesn’t go to school with them, someone new could always come around because of her and it wouldn’t seem strange. However, if her and dan get together, there would be no need for dan to hang out with that crew at all, and then his character would fade to being less important, he would just be Jenny’s brother after that. And for me, the Humphrey family are my favorites, so I would hate for that to even be a possibility. I would also hate for dan and Vanessa get together and then break up, bc then she would also fade out (as usually happens with breakups on shows and shes not a major character) and even though she gets little screen time now, its better than no screen time.Posted 4/7/2008 5:53:23 PM # -

Hope it's for real also...Penn and Blake...(heard they are dating but they are mum about their real relationship though)

I think all you guys made really good points but i am positive that dan and serena go together.It's like he balances out her bad side.Not that she is bad anymore but she just has her moments when you think she will rebel but dan is like her [WOSAA].
I really like them together!
I think vanessa is really really pretty but she just dosesn't seem like she would make a good couple with dan but on ther other hand with nate.Now thats a different story you will just have to wait and watch tomorrow!

i think they are ok.. but penn is shorter that blake right? she shouldnt wear heels if hanging around with him.. ;P
i think in the show : d should be with s, n with b, c with j, v with idk who, b with lily, rufus with bex.. hehe..
