Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage fired off some quality tweets yesterday that you will definitely be interested in.
Here's what they had to say (SS denotes Tweets from Steph):
Thoughts? Comments? Opinions? Theories? Fire away below!
The CW is deep in contracts negotiations and is finalizing the paperwork for renewing Gossip Girl, 90210, Smallville, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries.
Expect official announcements for each later this month!
As we previously reported, a new season of Gossip Girl is all but confirmed. Despite modest rating, the show remains a critical and commercial success.
End of story.
Our favorite Upper East Side drama lives on!
As for other CW shows on the bubble, messy contract negotations have One Tree Hill in limbo. Soapnet has the option of renewing it if the CW cancels.
The network is very happy with Life Unexpected so far but is waiting for more data but it is leaning heavily on renewal. It is likely to be back midseason.
The fate of Melrose Place will be known in May but it's questionable at best.
Gossip Girl returns to The CW on March 8.
That's the only piece of information we need to get excited.
But a preview for these upcoming installments, complete with quotes such as "Tell me you didn't sleep with your ex-husband" and "Just so you know, I'm not wearing any underwear," only help build suspense for new episodes.
Who uttered these intriguing words? Find out below:
Michele Trachentenberg may star on a different show on a different network (Mercy, NBC), but that won't stop the actress from reprising the role everyone loves to hate on Gossip Girl:
Sources confirm that Trachentenberg will reprise the character of Georgina Sparks on the third season finale in May. For what purpose? This is Georgina, what purpose do you think?!?
"I'm sure Georgina will be seeking vengeance," the actress told E! News "They haven't written it yet, but she was tricked and sent away, after all. And that li'l lady certainly doesn't like to be tricked."
Meanwhile, in an interesting piece of casting news, Connor Paolo (Eric) will actually guest star on Mercy on March 3.
According to NBC, Paolo will portray a teen that explodes a pipe bomb on a commuter bus. He gets brought into the hospital, and all heck breaks loose from there.
What do you think, readers? Are you pumped for the return of Georgina? And will this get you to watch an episode of Mercy?

This Gossip Girl teaser from Michael Ausiello's Entertainment Weekly Q&A today has us as puzzled as ever. Let's see if you can crack it.
Q: Any Gossip Girl spoilers?
A: Just this one: I**e*e*t **o*o*al.
Anybody? Go to work!
Is there trouble in paradise for Gossip Girl co-stars and lovebirds Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick? They're still together, but things are tense, a source says.
During a recent rough patch, Jessica’s been unable to hide her emotions on set, according to a crew member who's seen her in tears in her dressing room.
Making matters worse, Ed doesn’t seem concerned with her feelings.
On January 29, the actor and a male friend were seen entertaining two ladies at the Melrose Bar & Grill in LA - and Jessica Szohr was nowhere in sight.
“It looked like he was on a double date,” says an onlooker, and according to an eyewitness, Ed and a friend took off with two girls after dinner in LA.
Bear in mind this is according to In Touch Weekly. It could be exaggerated or plain untrue. Still, we pass it along to you because that's what we do ...
Is it over for Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr? Is it just a rough patch they'll get through? Is any of this even true? All we can do is wait and see!
Tonight's Gossip Girl repeat, at its special Wednesday repeat time (the show moves back to its traditional Monday slot with 10 new episodes beginning March 8), is the threesome-rific "They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They?"
On top of the Olivia-Dan-Vanessa scene for the ages, this episode chronicled J's quest to rule the UES, and laid the foundation for a Serena-Tripp tryst.

Rapper 50 Cent was recently a bit surprised, and more than a little humbled by Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford getting more attention from the ladies than he.
50 recalled the scene on the NYC set of their flick, Twelve.
"I made a fool of myself the first day of shooting," he told the New York Daily News. "I got to my trailer and I saw this huge crowd of girls screaming."
"I stopped and was kind of having a moment. Then I turned around, and Chace Crawford was behind me, and that's who they were freaking out for."
At least Fitty has a sense of humor about playing second fiddle to Chace. Laughs the rapper: "I remember thinking, 'What kind of bull$h!t is this?'"
Even 50 Cent can't compete with the man-bangs!
