Gossip Girl to Take Six-Week Winter Hiatus (11/10/2009)
I don't necessarily believe the dates, considering they were on wikipedia a few days ago. Plus, it's been made clear that we're getting a X-mas Carol type episode. It would make little to no sense to have that after Christmas. Plus, show don't usually come back that early on in the year, even if it's the CW. \

So you're telling me the Christmas episode, 3.12 called THE DEBARTED will air AFTER CHRISTMAS? That doesn't make any sense. I was under the impression that 3.12 would be the last episode before the break. It would make the most sense, considering it's THE CHRISTMAS EPISODE with the X-mas Carol theme, per Ausiello.

Tripp is on for 6 episodes; he's already been in 2, so we've got 4 left...I guess 3.13 is his last episode, unless they cut it short and end it at 3.12. I could see this happen but I hope they don't simply because I feel like it's just too much. Too much is going on. First Carter, then Tripp and we're supposed to hang on for Nate and possibly Carter coming back? You know Carter has got to come back. He left too abruptly.

NEW -- SPOILER W/ BART BASS (10/29/2009)
Ghost of Present shows Chuck what life w/o him would be and then we see Blair dating Nate and being a Stepford wife or even Blair dating Dan and eating falafels and wearing a flannel dress. It would be hilarious. The entire episode could have both the humor and the sadness.
Ghost of Past shows a lonely Chuck as a child, wanting his father's affection...perhaps hanging with various nannies.
Ghost of Future (Bart) would then show a Chuck dead and alone or whatever because he, like his father, chose to focus on work and becoming powerful, instead of taking care of the people he loves.

Perhaps we'll see Chuck try to work through the holidays in order to get his hotel going, almost emulating his father, then falling asleep. Ghosts come to him to show him the error of his ways.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Present Blair either dating Nate or Dan (this would be a way to please the AU coupling people) because she had to give Chuck up or even single and hardened herself.
