Thursday Gossip Girl Casting News & Notes (8/20/2009)
I don't think Ausiello means that Lady G, or Batman or Robin will be making a guest appearance. I think it's going to be a Halloween Party! (Which is long overdue in GG). I am sensing this will be a very, very, very amusing episode.

Did Chuck do wrong or right? (10/8/2009)
Thanks guys:). As cheesy as this sounds, I really don't like hearing how people are suddenly changing ships or is in total war mode with Gossip Girl, like it's the most disgusting, badly written show in the world, not that I don't respect all the opinions, I actually agree with some of them. It's just that some people fail to see the bigger purpose that (maybe) the writers have. I mean, at least give it chance to breath, it's the 4th episode. If the FAIL continues, then by all means rant and bash and kill, i'll be right behind you:D

Did Chuck do wrong or right? (10/8/2009)
Waldass kicks Ass, you just put into words all the things that I have been wanting to post since the time people have been bashing that scene. This is CHUCK AND BLAIR. Narcissist and Masochist. Chuck and Blair who grew up in the UES, the Bad Boy and the Queen Bitch. There have been endless rants about how "B and C aren't how they used to be", and then when they actually do, people still don't like it. Seriously, unless you guys have better ideas, please stop bashing, and try to understand the point of view of the writers, who, by the way WROTE the characters.
I am not in any way siding with the writers and 'defending their honor'. I agree with a ton of people who say that the writers are ultimately wasting time, episodes, and character development opportunities that can actually make the show a helluva a lot better, as well as creating a great number of SLs that only seem like 'fillers' rather than actual stand-out SLS, like the BS fight, NBS love-triangle (which I have to admit could have been done way better), and more. They are putting in too much time and effort in guest stars that wouldn't even be present three episodes later instead of giving us much needed interaction for the main characters.
I understand how everyone feels that Chair, Chuck and Blair, could be written a little differently, and I admit that I also notice some differences between S3 C and B and the earlier seasons. Everyone is saying how BLAIR'S BECOMING WHINY and CHUCK'S BECOMING THE MORALLY CORRECT CHUCK BASS. First of all, has anyone forgot the spiral that Chuck went through 2.13-2.15, and during the earlier episodes as well. This actually showed great maturity in his part, and it may seem like C is all good, but it's just the 4TH EPISODE OF THE SEASON, and they are not the only characters in the show, btw. They can't just totally focus on them week-after-week, I mean, that's why there are main CHARACTERSSSS.
As for B, how did you expect her to be as a freshman in a new place, and not in the UES or Ivys at that. Blair has matured, but at the same time, like most of us, there is something that happens when we step into college, that want to be a high schooler again. For Blair, she's a spoiled control freak, always have been, always will be. We've all learned to love her character that way. Of course she is going to be LIKE THAT in NYU. And besides, if she seems whiny, then maybe it's not all the wirters. Did it not occur to everyone that maybe that is how Leighton Meester interprets B'c character to be, and I actually think that that is how B is whenever she's in an uncomfortable situation. She wants to be boss but can't at the moment, it's actually proper for me that she tries so super extra hard and constantly fails AT THE BEGINNING, because, if we remember correctly, she just got rejected by her super dream school, and has been battling more of her insecurities and such last season. THINK ABOUT IT, SEASON 1 BLAIR, she was a junior, queen B, she has learned all the ropes, tied it herself, she's uber confident and uber on the top, so that was how she was. Now, she's back to the bottome of the social ladder, and that's how she clmbs up, that's B. Don't you guys think that this is a sort of character development opportunity, that in the LATTER PART OF THE SEASON, becase it is just the fourth episode, THAT SHE WILL BE A BETTER BLAIR? And maybe this is a sort of motivation for herm that after all the failures she has in life, she kkeps on moving forward, and ultimately, in the end, rise up and be the QUEEN we all know and love?
Thank you Waldass Kicks Ass, for seeing the benefit of the doubt and keeping an open mind. Sorry for the uber long post, I've been keeping all this locked up for weeks and wanted, no, needed to vent. :)

Honest Question 2 CBers. (10/5/2009)
Chuck and Blair are two of the most self-centered and damaged people and those two wrongs make a twisted right.
Right behind you on this one, this is the reason why I don't ever plan on changing, jumping, or having multiple ships, I don't think that anyone can top the build-up and relationship of CB in this show. EVER.
I love how not once did Chuck imply that he wants B to change, even emphasizing countless times how special she is throughout the show.
