Since then, the actress has been known for a contract role on the NBC soap opera "Generations."
She also appeared in the feature films "Swimming Upstream," "Scream 3," "I Love Trouble" and "Shakedown," as well as the television movies "Cry Wolf," "Robin Cook's Acceptable Risk," "The Perfect Getaway" and "No Greater Love."
Rutherford stars as Lily van der Woodsen, wealthy socialite and mother of Serena (Blake Lively) on the show.

She's a good role on Gossip Girl. I hope she and Rufus gets married. They make a nice coupple. She's a great actress.

i love kelly rutherford. i think she's a very strong woman and a fantastic actress. and i love lily, too. i hope we'll get to see more of her and rufus in season 3. they are such a nice couple and the should finally come together .. forever
