Oh yeah, it's so on. The cast of Gossip Girl is back in New York and has officially started filming episodes for the third season, which debuts September 14!

While that's a long time away, the New York City setting allows for a lot of quality pictures from the show's set to make their way to us, and then on to you.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively wore a sexy Robert Cavalli backless dress at the grand opening of the Swarovski Crystallized Concept store on Thursday in New York City.

Asked what kind of career she aspires to, Lively said, “Women I look up to are Annette Bening, Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett ... also, I think Reese Witherspoon has had a really great mixture, some great movies as well as some fun ones.”

Oh, the life of a gorgeous actress ...

In a new black trench by Burberry, the beautiful Blake Lively wrapped her arm around her hairstylist, Jennifer Johnson, at the 2009 NYWIFT’s Designing Women awards held at Manhattan's Clearview Chelsea Cinemas on Wednesday evening.

The 21-year-old Gossip Girl stunner was one of three special guests (with John Turturro and Sam Waterston). She presented NYWIFT’s Designing Women Award to Jennifer Johnson for her work on Gossip Girl, Saturday Night Live, and My Sassy Girl.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, who just picked up a pair of Teen Choice Awards nominations - Choice TV Actress and Choice Female Hottie - certainly lived up to her billing in the latter category with the strapless pink dress she wore last night.

Blake attended the 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday, and needless to say, she looked absolutely gorgeous.

On hiatus from Gossip Girl, Blake Lively made a sexy style statement in a body-conscious, ruched dress at the grand opening of the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

At the recent CW upfronts presentation, the Gossip Girl cast dished on their characters and some of the drama we can expect in the upcoming third season.

Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr, Taylor Momsen, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley all chatted about Gossip Girl, as well as their real lives.

A couple of fun facts:

• Leighton Meester is funny, chatty and all-around awesome.
• Blake Lively is in the process of getting her scuba license.
• Penn Badgley has no plans to marry his girl anytime soon.
• Chace Crawford's bangs are just as amazing in real life.

The Gossip Girl Cast Dishes

Gossip Girl co-stars and real-life couple Blake Lively and Penn Badgley posed for some pictures with Melrose Place star Michael Rady and a gal pal at the CW Network’s 2009 Upfront party at NYC’s Gramercy Park Hotel on Thursday (May 21).

Over the weekend, Blake and Penn caught the music and dance show Fuerza Bruta: Look Up at NYC’s Daryl Roth Theatre. There was supposedly PDA involved.

“They were making out during the show,” a source tells E!.

The post-show dance party featured indoor rain and the attractive couple was spotted getting “completely soaked together and having a great time.”

Good to see a sexy Gossip Girl pairing that appears to be very stable, in love and almost entirely drama-free ... albeit off the show and in real life.

On the fittingly green carpet at the CW upfronts, Leighton Meester couldn't wait to share her thoughts on the future of Chuck and Blair, while co-star Blake Lively weighed in on Georgina's return to the show next season.

When last we saw them, Chuck was showering Blair with her favorite treats and, more importantly, finally saying the three little words we waited so long to hear.

But alas, can Chair really work in the real world?

"Chuck and Blair holding hands, Chuck and Blair going to the movies - isn't that what he says would be unrealistic?" Leighton Meester asked E! Online.

"I feel like a tumultuous relationship is a-brewin', but that's what drama is."

The actress, who recently went blonde for her new movie, The Roommate, but promised to go back to brunette ASAP, says she isn't sure what she hopes will come for the fan favorite couple when the show returns August 31.

"I want us to see them together, but at the same time, the reason why they're so good is why they can't be together," Leighton Meester says.

Unfortunately, both Meester and Blake Lively agree that Georgina Sparks' return could cast a long shadow over Chuck and Blair's future.

"Chuck and Blair are finally together, but yet Georgina is back to screw up her life with that major vendetta," said Lively of Serena's frenemy.

Despite the cliffhanger conclusion, whether or not Michelle Trachtenberg will be back on the show full-time remains in question. The actress has been cast in a new series, Mercy, a nursing drama that NBC recently picked up.
