As we posted yesterday, members of the Gossip Girl cast are officially back to work and filming the third season of the show we love. The premiere is September 14. Summer vacation is clearly a lot longer for us than it is for the cast members themselves!

Oh yeah, it's so on. The cast of Gossip Girl is back in New York and has officially started filming episodes for the third season, which debuts September 14!
While that's a long time away, the New York City setting allows for a lot of quality pictures from the show's set to make their way to us, and then on to you.

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, who was recently named People’s Hottest Bachelor of 2009, lived up to the title at the Emporio Armani show as part of the Milan Menswear Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 show on Tuesday in Milan, Italy.

Just please, don't call Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick pretty, whatever you do.
Asked about Chace Crawford's comment in this week's People magazine, which named him the hottest Bachelor of '09, about his "Velcro patch of chest-hair," Westwick delivered a snarky retort of his own for his friend and fellow Gossip Girl co-star:
"I'm just not a pretty little boy, now am I?"
The hordes of young women gathered at Bloomingdale's K-Swiss Classic Remastered dance-off party Thursday in Manhattan might take issue with that.
Wherever Ed Westwick goes, fans automatically congregate.
Gossip, too, has a way of attaching itself to the British actor – be it false rumors of a more-than-friends relationship with Crawford or about his expanding waistline.
Westwick, however, isn't about to let that any of that get him down: "I'm over everything that's been in the past, and everything right now is fantastic, man," he says.
Speaking of fantastic, just how does Westwick manage to look so good? "I've never been a real gym guy," he admits. "I always got my fitness through playing soccer."
Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has topped People's 10th annual list of the Hottest Bachelors around. Note to anyone interested in Chace: be low-maintenance.
Says Chace of his perfect date: "A pool table, beer, a jukebox and good conversation. The day a girl beats me in a game of Beirut [beer pong] is a good sign!"

He beat out the likes of Chris Pine, Shia LaBeouf, Adam Lambert, Ryan Eggold, Kellan Lutz, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Brody Jenner, Common, Taylor Kitsch and Robert Pattinson for the honor of the year's hottest single stud.
Will he be eligible this time next year?
Of his first kiss, Chace says, "Fifth grade. Her name was Kiley Smith and she was my best friend's twin sister. It was one of those super-awkward things. We were at camp, on a lake, really picturesque – it's kind of seared into memory! We're still friends."
On dating singer Carrie Underwood: "I have nothing bad to say about that experience. It was awesome. I just didn't know how to deal with it ... I learned a ton about dating in that kind of spotlight. It was such a whirlwind, but no regrets."

Chace Crawford is ready to follow the fancy footwork of Kevin Bacon when he begins shooting Paramount's reboot of the 1984 dance classic Footloose next March.
The 23-year-old Gossip Girl star landed the lead after Zac Efron dropped out: "I know Zac and we're actually friends," Crawford tells Entertainment Weekly.
"He's gotta make the best choice for his career at this point and I have to make the best for mine, and luckily the situation worked out for both of us."
Crawford wasn’t even born when the original premiered. Is this just a ruse to win at Six Degrees? Jokes Crawford, “I want my number to be up - my Bacon number.”
Chace Crawford won the part after a brutal audition, including dancing and singing, for producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and director Kenny Ortega.
“It was, like, five hours of the most rigorous tests ever,” says the Texas native who plays Nate Archibald on the series we love. “I walked out very confident.”
Dancing With the Stars’ Julianne Hough will audition this week. Her recent success as a country star, in addition to her dancing prowess, could give her an edge.
The new Footloose will pay homage to the '80s film - the setting will still be a dance-free town, and the original cast could even pop up in cameos.
Also expect to hear familiar tunes like the title track. One thing that may not reappear, however is some of the original's more elaborate choreography.
“I don’t know if the gymnastics [high bar] scene is going to make it,” says Chace Crawford, who will embark on an Ortega-plotted training regimen.
“I’ve got some movement in me, but I’m not exactly a dancer,” he of the unparalleled man bangs admits. “I need to start stretching now.”
Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford will headline the remake of Footloose, a development that has been rumored for weeks. The studio producing the film has finally locked up the actor, who turns 24 in July, for the lead role in the upcoming film.
The Gossip Girl hunk was said to be first in line for the role of Ren McCormack, famously played by Kevin Bacon in the original, ever since the producers' first choice, Zac Efron, dropped out of consideration after getting cold feet.
Now it's finally a done deal!

In the mix for the female lead alongside Chace are Heroes' Hayden Panettiere, Amanda Bynes and Dancing With the Stars' Julianne Hough, all of whom have auditioned for the part of Ariel Moore, played in 1984 by Lori Singer.
Footloose, to be directed by High School Musical's Kenny Ortega, is set to begin shooting in March 2010, around when Chace wraps Season 3 of Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford showed off some facial hair as he filmed scenes for his new movie, Twelve, at Central Park in New York City on Tuesday afternoon.
The handsome 23-year-old actor will star in the lead role in the new drama, which centers on a high school drop-out named "White Mike" who deals pot and an ecstasy-like drug called twelve to Manhattan’s young and rich.
