No word on the rumor from a few weeks back that Connor Paolo (Eric) is the show's currently anonymous title character, Gossip Girl.
A couple of female fans ran into Gossip Girl bad boy Ed Westwick in Sydney, Australia earlier this week, and sent a picture of them in to popular celebrity news site Just Jared. Definitely a cute candid shot of Ed!
Ed Westwick, a 20-year-old British actor and singer, was traveling to the land Down Under to promote the CW drama, which continues to gain popularity.
Back in New York, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, co-creators and producers of Gossip Girl, are back at work already. The show is expected to add 4-6 new episodes for April and May.

TVGuide: I'm loving the show. It's totally addictive.
Ed Westwick: That's fantastic, I'm really glad to hear it.
TVGuide: Now, I've actually already seen this week's episode...
Ed Westwick: Oh, have you? A sneak preview, huh?
TVGuide: Yeah. I thought it was the best one!
Ed Westwick: It feels like it's kind of the climax almost, because everything is boiled up and it's ready to explode. There's the tiff that happens between Nate and Chuck. Blair has her breakdown.... S--t hits the fan, so to speak.
TVGuide: Blair's world basically gets turned upside down.
Ed Westwick: Yeah, I think what everyone got from the previous episodes is that she's a control freak and has this hold on every aspect in her life it appears that way. In this episode, everything is ripped away from her.
TVGuide: Do you think Nate and Chuck will reconcile someday?
Ed Westwick: I have no idea. Who knows what angle the writers will take when they come back. I'm incredibly excited to see what happens. There is that relationship and that history of two best friends, and there's always that possibility of getting back together, but Chuck Bass [hasn't] really done a light thing [by sleeping with Blair].

Ed Westwick plays the very bad, charismatic Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl, a lad so filthy he might as well be a Gallagher brother in Oasis.
Well, it turns out that Ed Westwick has a rock band of his own and two of their songs are going to be featured on Gossip Girl on January 2!
His London-based band, The Filthy Youth, will be heard playing "Orange" and "Come Flash All You Ladies" on the January 2 episode, "School Lies."
Ed Westwick's band will be featured on the next Gossip Girl.
In the upcoming Gossip Girl episode, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck and their entourage break into the school's swimming pool for a night of fun, but when a member of their group nearly drowns, the school threatens to expel the person responsible for breaking in.
As lead singer, Ed Westwick co-wrote both tunes with rhythm guitarist Jimmy Wright. The CW says that Westwick describes "Orange" a song about being with friends and "ripping it up," while "Come Flash All You Ladies" is about certain women Westwick has met throughout his life.

Between the three of them, Penn Badgley is the biggest player, Ed watches the most chick flicks and Chace? Well, he got burned. He apparently spends the most time in front of the mirror, likes the worst music, tells the worst jokes and takes advantage of the most celebrity perks! Oh, snap!
