Gossip Girl Episode Guide: "How to Succeed in Bassness"

Monday night's Gossip Girl featured Chuck's big hotel club opening, and our man doing what the episode's title implies - succeeding in his new venture.

Not that it was easy, though. Nor was patching things up with Blair. But all is well that ends well, and for Mr. Bass, last night clearly did on both fronts.

Serena and Blair are totally in a fight now, though, based on the former being undercut by the latter. Also in a war? Jenny and Eric. A one-sided war.

Newly-anointed queen J's power gone to her head, and it looks like her cute friendship with her sort-of-brother is a casualty. It's quite sad to watch.

Lastly, Dan and Olivia are still going strong, despite many obstacles like her sexy vampire movies or ex-boyfriends swooping in at the last moment.

For the details on "How to Succeed in Bassness," here's our episode guide!

Gossip Girl Episode Guide: "Enough About Eve"

Last night's Gossip Girl featured more Vanessa than we're used to seeing, and we didn't know V had some of that scheming in her, to be quite honest.

Not that it worked out in the end - for her, or for her rival Blair Waldorf.

Both girls sought the coveted NYU freshman toast, and targeted one another (along with Olivia), stopping at nothing to do the honors. It got ugly.

Speaking of lies, they didn't stop with that plot line. Serena and Nate pulled some interesting deceit of their own to get Carter Baizen off the hook.

For all the details from "Enough About Eve," here's our episode guide.

Vanessa and Mom

Vanessa's mom even found out she sucks. Just kidding. Kind of.

Gossip Girl Recap, Quotes, Pictures and Music

Last night's Gossip Girl was a wild ride from beginning to end.

Georgina showed her true colors - those of a full-on crazy person - and almost ruined everything. But Rufus and Lily did end up getting married, thanks to Scott of all people, and it looks like G might be getting hers soon.

Meanwhile, Carter Baizen revealed to Serena some bad things he did before they were an item. Things that Bree Buckley's family wants payback for.

Needless to say, last night's show was great and next week could be even crazier. For all the details from Monday, check out our official episode guide.

Gossip Girl Recap, Music, Quotes, Pics & More

Last night's Gossip Girl introduced us to a pair of big-name guest stars, one of whom it looks like we'll be seeing more of, and a lot of drama - new and old.

Serena was desperate to earn Lily's approval for deferring at Brown, while Blair was desperate to feel important again. It was a difficult road for both.

Meanwhile, Little Jenny decided she didn't want to rule the school, then had a change of heart. For all the details, check out our official episode guide.

Gossip Girl Episode Guide, Quotes, Music and More

Last night' episode of Gossip Girl introduced us to the world of high-stakes auctions, in which Chuck and Blair will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Pitted against one another by the evil Georgina Sparks, natch.

Meanwhile, Carter Baizen had his own smear campaign to fight off, which he eventually did ... only to learn that Bree Buckley is out to get him as well!

Why? We don't yet know. But for a recap of all this and the rest of the action last night (and trust us, there's a lot), here's our official episode guide!

Gossip Girl Recap, Quotes, Music and Pictures

Last night's Season 3 episode of Gossip Girl introduced us to the world of NYU. For some, it's a chance to start fresh. For Blair, it's a living nightmare.

The former Queen B found herself at the bottom of the social barrel, looking up at the likes of peons like Dan and Vanessa and arch-rival Georgina.

Elsewhere, Serena's wild ways caused her to flake on Brown and sabotage Chuck's business deal, while Nate and Bree seem to really like each other.

Gossip Girl Episode Recap, Photos, Quotes and Music

Last night's Season 3 premiere of Gossip Girl may not rank with the series' greatest episodes of all time, but it certainly didn't disappoint us, as it helped set the (hot!) stage for what looks like a terrific season ahead of us.

Nate is still trying to forge his own identity, with a new love interest thrown in the mix. Serena is trying to reconnect with her past, with Carter along for the ride. The Humphreys, young and old, are all very much in transition.

Chair as a couple? They're just hot, and there's not a lot else to add.

Tonight's Gossip Girl: "Valley Girls" (a.k.a. The Episode That Ruined Prom)

This evening's Gossip Girl, "Valley Girls," was the penultimate episode of Season 2.

It featured parallel mother-daughter conflicts spanning multiple generations and a ton of '80s fashion and music, which was pretty fun and harmless enough.

But for many fans, the backdoor pilot for the spinoff that never ended up happening is also remembered for what it did not feature - more than a few short sequences of the Upper East Siders' prom, and the drama and romance behind it. Alas.

While we thought the spinoff idea featuring young Lily was kinda cool, we'd prefer if future gimmicks didn't impede on Gossip Girl. Okay, Josh and Stephanie?

With that out of the way, follow the link for our recap of "Valley Girls."

Also sure to check out our gallery, videos, music guide and list of quotes from the episode, as well as our staff members' always-entertaining Round Table discussion.

Just two more weeks until the Season Three premiere of Gossip Girl! Thanks for watching along with us and visiting our website all season long!

Tonight's Gossip Girl: "The Wrath of Con"

Tonight's Gossip Girl rerun, "The Wrath of Con," was the third-to-last episode of Season 2. That means we are slowly inching closer to the premiere of Season 3!

If you recall from when the episode first aired, the gang took action - by enlisting Georgina Sparks, obvs - to take down Gabriel and Poppy. With mixed results.

Serena ended up in jail, while various relationships were turned upside down. Need a recap? Follow the link for the Insider's full recap of "The Wrath of Con."
