Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester kept it fun, playful and gorgeous in a Louis Vuitton dress at the “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday evening. Talk about colorful!

Meanwhile, co-star Blake Lively showed off a bit of a leg and more in a stunning teal Versace gown (and Chanel Beauté makeup) at the fashion extravaganza.

Holy hot pink! Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen made quite an entrance as she arrived at a special dinner reception at Balthazars for the launch of Topshop/Topman in Manhattan, rocking a leather jacket, hot pink skirt and matching lipstick.

The 15-year-old (!) actress and model certainly has a flair for fashion, always keeping us on our toes. What do you think of her latest ensemble? Check it out below:

A recent interview with Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen revealed the following bombshell: the girl's adventurous forays into fashion are all her own.

The style-obsessed 15-year-old told German publication Qvest:

"Well, I don't work with a stylist. I pick out what I wear myself. I feel that is important, because I think real style is something that comes from within."

"If someone else dictates what you are wearing," the actress who plays Jenny Humphrey added, "then it's not something that really reflects you, is it?"

This week's episode of Gossip Girl, "The Age of Dissonance," marked the return of the series from a six-week break, even if was not entirely what our Gossip Girl fashion contributor had hoped for as far as the show's trendy attire is concerned.

Like all true Gossip Girl fans, I was impatiently waiting for the release of "The Age of Dissonance," however I was slightly disappointed - the plot was too gripping for the characters to bother with their outfit changes.

Although, have to admit, I already have identified a selection of items from upcoming episodes - so keep watching this space in the next few weeks!

As for this past Monday's Gossip Girl, Blair and Serena both looked absolutely stunning in these gorgeous Marchesa Fall 2008 gowns selected for the play - Serena's Feather Bust Chiffon Gown is even available online ($1,110, here).

I guess no one will ever understand how even during one of the darkest periods of her life, Blair manages to look perfect (the answer to this of course may be the return of Carter, but who knows) in a Nanette Lepore Blouse from the Fall 2008 collection, a DVF Velvet Skirt ($106, here) and, of course, a Susan Daniels headband ($56, here).

Smiling and looking gorgeous as always, Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester attended the launch of the Reebok “Top Down” sneaker by - you guessed it - Leighton Meester!

As the new face of Reebok, the 22-year-old Gossip Girl actress, who plays the fabulous Blair Waldorf, will be featured in ads for the sneaker brand later this year.

Co-star Ed Westwick, interestingly, is the new face of K-Swiss sneakers.

Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams) appears on the April 2009 cover of Lucky Magazine, which is due to be released tomorrow, March 10.

When the 23-year-old Jessica arrived at the mag’s Manhattan studio, it was clear that her tiny Lhasa Apso puppy, Watson, was at home in the spotlight.

“(Gossip Girl co-stars) Blake Lively and Leighton Meester usually bring their dogs to work, so there are animals everywhere,” explained Jessica Szohr.

The gorgeous Wisconsin native, who's been linked to co-star Ed Westwick in real life, is as relaxed about her personal style as she is about her dog:

“I’m a total thrift-store junkie and always have been .... Most of my closet is secondhand. I’m just starting to add a few designer pieces here and there.”
