Here’s a Gossip Girl spoiler, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly:
Gossip Girl will finally reveal the identity of Blair Waldorf’s (Leighton Meester) absentee father, who left her mommy for a male model: He’ll be played by John Shea, who’s best known for playing Lex Luthor on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

Shea will appear in the episode entitled Roman Holiday on Nov. 21
Here’s a Gossip Girl spoiler to follow up from yesterday’s preview of “The Handmaiden’s Tale.”
Caridee English - pictured here, a former winner of America’s Next Top Model - will play the role of Bart Bass’ date in the episode.

Remember, Bart is Chuck Bass’ father; he has some sort of history (or present?) with Lily van der Woodsen, who then asks Rufus out in order to make Bart jealous.

Serena and Dan go on a date, as the latter makes elaborate plans to impress his crush. The same night, Jenny is invited to the infamous Blair Waldorf sleepover and finds herself in a high stakes game of “truth or dare.” That’s always fun.

Meanwhile, when Lily discovers that Eric is missing from his treatment center, she finds herself seeking help from her ex-boyfriend, Rufus.
This isn’t a legitimate Gossip Girl spoiler because it’s just a commercial for this week’s episode of the show, “Poison Ivy.”
But some readers don’t wanna watch a second of any upcoming episode, so consider yourself warned if you fall into this group.

We’ll soon be meeting Blair’s dad, who, according to the casting breakdown, is “a Cary Grant charmer with impeccable taste and manners.”
Translation: He’s gay!

The character also resides in Paris with his model boyfriend. Speaking of Blair (Leighton Meester), in the October 3 episode she gets a tip that her frienemy Serena may have spent time in rehab during her mysterious year-long hiatus. The name of the facility?
The Ostroff Treatment Center.

Here’s a quick look at the fourth episode of Gossip Girl, entitled “Bad News Blair.”
Blair is thrilled when her mother, Eleanor, chooses her to be the new face of her clothing line. However, Blair’s happiness soon turns to feelings of betrayal and jealousy when Serena - of course - moves into the spotlight.

Blair finds herself back in Serena’s shadow. Meanwhile, Serena and Dan (Penn Badgley) are reminded once again that they come from two very different worlds, while Nate (Chace Crawford) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) take part in a boys’ weekend.
