Gossip Girl Spoilers: Nate Gets a Cousin

The Gossip Girl producers will be expanding Chace Crawford's enviable gene pool in the form of a cousin for Nate, according to Entertainment Weekly today.

The yet-to-be-cast character will be in his 20s and is described as a wealthy, confident, politically-minded and - all together now - extremely good-looking guy.

But before you go fixing him up with Blair, Serena or anyone else on the Upper East Side, you should know that this cousin of Nathaniel Archibald is married.

You should also know that his name is Kip Vanderbilt.

But all signs are that Kip is not a descendant of New York's legendary Vanderbilt family, though. For starters, Kip's dad's name is William, not Cornelius.

Nate the Great

Any casting suggestions for who should play Kip V. - or opinions on what this Gossip Girl casting news means for our favorite characters? Will Kip cause trouble for fair Nate Archibald? Will he have man-bangs too? Share your thoughts ...

Gossip Girl Spoilers: Wednesday Edition

Here are a couple of interesting Gossip Girl spoilers and topics for speculation from Michael Ausiello at EW this morning. Tell us what you think of the following ...

Q: About Lily and Rufus' child on Gossip Girl: another site said it was a boy, and that he died. Is that true?

A: Only half of it.

Q: I need to know more about Gossip Girl, please!

A: I have a sneaking suspicion that Chuck's mother is alive. Anyone else share my hunch?

Q: Any new news about the Veronica Mars movie? If not, some Gossip Girl scoop is perfectly acceptable.

A: Gossip Girl scoop it is! Word around the UES is that Serena will soon share something in common with Anne Hathaway. And garnering Oscar buzz ain't it.

Gossip Girl Spoilers: A Georgina Spinoff?

A couple of minor Gossip Girl spoilers / news items from E! Online's spoiler Q&A ...

Q: Did you hear? They are going to bring that be-yotch Georgina back to Gossip Girl!

A: Back in early December, I reported plans to bring back Georgina Sparks toward the end of this season, and FYI, that's what I'm still hearing. I still think she's the most solid candidate for the spin-off, BTW. But you didn't hear that from me!

Q: Any word on Gossip Girl?

A: Lily van der Woodsen gets attacked - and it's by someone she knows. Any guesses? Also, Bart's will will be read and stir up trouble.

Gossip Girl Spoilers: Georgina Sparks is Back!

Batten down the hatches, Upper East Siders - Hurricane Georgina is blowing back into town, according to Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly.

Sources confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg will be reprising her role as Serena van der Woodsen's (Blake Lively) nemesis Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl - and for multiple episodes. She first appeared toward the end of Season One.

A Gossip Girl rep declined to comment on the record, but an inside source says Georgina, who was last seen being carted off to rehab, will reappear toward the end of the current Season Two. Wonder in what capacity?

Go Home!

Creator and executive producer Josh Schwartz had hinted at Georgina's return in a past interview, but we're glad it's coming to fruition. The more drama, the merrier!

In related news, have you heard the rumor that Georgina will turn out to be Lily and Rufus' MIA love child? Crazy, right? Well, it's even crazier when you consider the fact that said love child is (spoiler alert!) ******** * **.

Gossip Girl Spoilers For 2009

Nothing particularly new or groundbreaking here - just a summary of the Gossip Girl spoilers and story lines to come in January, courtesy of today's New York Post.

The Gossip Girl romance between Serena van der Woodsen and Aaron Rose will be cut short, according to the CW - one of many plot shakeups for 2009.

Aaron, the Brooklyn artist with a trust fund played by John Patrick Amedori, will not be returning from Argentina with Serena (Blake Lively) on January 5.

The character of Aaron Rose is getting axed for good after Gossip Girl producers and fans alike failed to warm up to his sketchy, too-smooth persona this fall.

Chuck and Jack Bass

But Serena will have enough on her plate after the passing of stepdad Bart Bass (Robert John Burke), and everyone will be trying to pick up the pieces - including Jack Bass (Desmond Harrington), Bart's younger brother and Chuck Bass' uncle.

Jack appears to help Chuck (Ed Westwick) with his grief after his father's death - although this reportedly may be a ruse as he tries to wrest control of Bass Industries.

Gossip Girl spoilers and rumors suggest that as per his father's will, Chuck will be named CEO of the billion-dollar real estate empire. We'll see how Jack reacts...

Gossip Girl Spoilers: Colleges & Secret Societies

Some brief Gossip Girl spoilers and rumors from E! Online today ...

Q: What's the next shocker coming up on Gossip Girl in the new year?

A: There's a storyline coming up that's so dirty, even Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams) was surprised about it, saying, "They can do that?" If it's above and beyond what we've seen so far on Gossip Girl, it must be good.

Q: More Gossip Girl please!

A: The Gossip Girl kids are getting downright dirty - and this time, in the sexy secret society kind of way. Gulp. Jessica Szohr spills, "They're doing a little thing like Eyes Wide Shut, which is kind of cool and interesting."

Q: I just heard that there's a new episode (2.16, January 19) of Gossip Girl called "You've Got Yale." Does this mean that all of the kids are going to, uh, Yale?

A: Actually, rumor has it our Upper East Siders will go to three different colleges next year. Any guesses about who goes where? They'd better not separate Chair!

Blair Waldorf FashionChuck WaitsSerena the Student

Are any or all of these Gossip Girl regulars three bound for the prestigious university in New Haven, Conn., where we saw them in last night's repeat?
