Here's another promo for next week's episode of Gossip Girl, "The Lost Boy." It's basically the same as the first promo we posted earlier, only a bit longer.
One benefit of the extra 10 seconds? Hearing what Blair says to Georgina when she recoils in horror upon catching her with a half-naked Dan at the end.

A number of photos have been emailed to us from the Gossip Girl set this week. From what we've gathered, there is a drowning scene - someone drowns or at least comes close to it - in the fifth episode of the current season.
That would be "Rufus Getting Married," airing Monday, October 12.
The picture below shows the cast and crew apparently at the edge of a pier, though it is not known where the scene is supposed to take place or who goes in the drink (though someone in a suit looks poised to dive in).
A stunt double for Chuck or Nate maybe? What do you think?
UPDATE: Thanks to our readers for the new intel and theory that this is Nate's cousin Tripp, and the episode in question is actually "The Grandfather, Part II," the eighth of the season and scheduled for a November 2 airing.

Three more sneak previews for "The Freshmen" have been released, and in addition to Blair's struggles at NYU, we now get to see what Nate is up to.
Things are going pretty well with Bree, to say the least. But Nate's new love senses it's all doomed to fail once they realize they don't like each other.
Her suggestion? A 24-hour lockdown to see if they get sick of it ...

As we discussed in our Round Table, Gossip Girl fans are still getting used to Chuck and Blair as a real couple, rather than just chasing each other around.
But will they be given a chance to actually thrive in this new capacity? TV Guide's spoiler Q&A today touches on that subject as well as Serenate (or Nee):
Q: Does Gossip Girl plan to give Chuck and Blair a fair shot as a couple this season? What about Nate and Serena? Can we expect a build-up for them?
A: As Monday's third season premiere of Gossip Girl clearly demonstrated, Chuck and Blair's love is a many-splendored (read: twisted) thing.
In other words, its success or failure won't follow any logical path.
No Serena for Nate, at least for the near future, as he'll be occupied with guest star JoAnna Garcia, who plays Texan political heiress Bree Buckley.
"I invested in a lot of lip balm and a spray tan, and just prepared myself to make out all summer," Garcia says of her four-episode stint. She compares their affair to that of Romeo and Juliet. "It's very poetic and lovely," she says.
