As we're all aware and excited for (well, maybe some of us are), Hilary Duff will be guest starring on next week's episode of Gossip Girl, "Dan de Fleurette."

The CW has released an exclusive interview with Hilary, in which the actress, who just turned 22 this week, talks about the show and her character, Olivia.

See below and tell us what you think. Are you excited for the introduction of Hilary's character or do you think someone else would be a better fit with Dan?

Q: I can't wait to see Hilary Duff on Gossip Girl. Who will she have scenes with?

A: Who won't she have scenes with? I had heard that movie star Olivia Burke (Duff) would be rooming with Vanessa, but I had no idea she'd be romancing Dan and working with Serena. (Yes, you heard that right: working.)

But forget all that, if you're looking for an excuse to laugh louder than you ever have in your life, honest human emotion, wait until you see Duff and her fellow guest star Tyra Banks' virtuoso performances in Fleur.

That would be the film-within-the-show about, of course, the French resistance during World War II. Talk about Les Miserables!

Quite a lot of hype. Are you excited for Hilary and Tyra or no?

Here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for ... or judging by your feedback, the moment you can take or leave or don't know what to make of just yet.

In any case, get ready for Hilary Duff in the October 5 Gossip Girl episode.

As many of us know, Hilary Duff's character is assigned to be Vanessa Abrams' roommate at NYU. You can see their dorm room in the photo above.

Through Vanessa, Olivia gets to know Dan Humphrey.

She becomes attracted to Dan, and vica versa.

The twist? Dan is so out of touch with popular culture that he doesn't realize the girl he likes is a big movie star from Twilight-esque vampire films.

Pretty typical of Dan, actually.

Gossip Girl's production coordinators have moved swiftly to deny reports that high-profile guest star Hilary Duff has held up production on the hit show this summer with her bratty behavior and a number of diva-like demands.

Rumors swirled that Duff had infuriated the show's cast after refusing to leave her trailer as the others waited to film near Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood, causing a massive delay in Gossip Girl filming that day.

A source said, "No one could believe they would actually hold up taping for her. Nobody in the cast behaves like that." But a rep for the hit CW series, however, tells the New York Post that the Duff rumor is "absolutely not true."

The 21-year-old is currently in New York City filming episodes as a guest star on the hit TV teen drama, in which she plays a movie star who enrolls at New York University with a number of the Upper East Siders we know.

We also know she'll be kissing Dan Humphrey.

We already knew this was happening, both from general Gossip Girl gossip and the video we posted earlier today, but here's a cool picture of Penn Badgley and Hilary Duff, as Dan and Olivia, kissing on the set of the show in New York City ...

Not that this comes as a huge shock, as we knew Dan and Olivia would make a romantic connection. But it's still cool to see it happening before it happens ...

We know Vanessa Abrams does not have as many fans in the Gossip Girl fan community as other characters. That's putting it mildly, according to our own Gossip Guy.

But there's no denying how glamorous Jessica Szohr looks in this photo taken on the set of the show today. Now this is a side of Vanessa we rarely get to see.

Clearly, she's attending some sort of high-society event ... but what?
