Gossip Girl star Blake Lively was seen filming the show today, along with Chace Crawford and Joanna Garcia. As we saw in the CW's new promo clips, both of their characters are getting involved in some interesting romances when Season 3 begins!

Here's Blake in between takes, looking a little forlorn. We know, Blake. We're sorry you missed us in Boston too. Next time, okay? You have our number, right?

We are getting closer and closer to the Season 3 premiere each day. It can't get here fast enough. We have a feeling we will be saying WTF (Watch This Fall) quite a lot!

With all the photos we've seen from the set, it's no secret that Privileged star Joanna Garcia is making her presence felt on Gossip Girl this summer.

We know she plays a love interest for Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) but fans are wondering what they can expect from her character, Bree Buckley.

Various sites describe Bree Buckley as a cheeky politically progressive, "slightly evil Miss America-type who hails from a conservative Southern family."

Well, she's not giving away too much, but Garcia is clarifying a few things about her Gossip Girl role and what's it like to kiss one of the show's hunks.

First off, Garcia insists that Bree isn't a bad girl.

"That's kind of a big myth! She certainly is not a bad girl at all! She comes from a different world - from a rival Texas elite family that has a lot of beef with the Archibalds. So there's a lot of tension that comes from that," she said.

"There are some interesting stories that are a little dramatic. But there's a great deal of getting along between Nate and Bree," Joanna said.

Garcia also notes that her Gossip Girl role is nothing like a Carrie Prejean clone: "No. I don't know where that leaked into the press," Joanna Garcia said.

"She certainly isn't a debutant or a beauty queen or anything like that. She's very grounded, very sweet, and very smart. And she certainly isn't blonde!"

Since Garcia has been cast to play Nate Archibald's love interest, the two have more scenes and, understandably, spend a decent amount of time together.

"Chase and I have spent a ridiculous amount of time together in the last few weeks, and he welcomed me with open arms," Garcia said, adding that kissing Chace Crawford is "everything you would imagine him to be, and more!"

At present, Joanna Garcia is only scheduled to be in four episodes on Gossip Girl but the actress is open to the possibility of returning for more.

"For now it's four, but there's always the possibility of more. I would love to do more, simply because I love the people. I wish I could claim full responsibility for every decision made in my career," the actress, 29, says.

"I have a team of people that have very brilliant opinions. The good thing is that the people on my team are in the Gossip Girl family, so hopefully, at some point I can talk them into letting me come and play," she said.

Yesterday's batches of photos from the Gossip Girl set brought both a serious Chair heat wave and some intriguing questions about Serena's kissing partners.

For the first time this year, the weather is truly steamy in New York.

But for fan favorites Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick, turning up the heat on the set of Gossip Girl is nothing new. In fact, they've got it down to a science.

The couple filmed scenes for the hit show today as their alter egos Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass, and the show's hottest couple gave us plenty to look forward to ...

CHAIR-ISH IT: Finally a couple after two years of pining for one another, Chuck and Blair look to be making up for lost time in the first few episodes of the third season.

In addition to Chair kissing, co-stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley (a real-life couple even if Dan and Serena aren't) and guest Joanna Garcia were also seen on set.

Season 3 of Gossip Girl, which began filming last month, will include even more twists than the previous two, says Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams).

“It’s like a new chapter in everyone’s life,” Szohr told People at an event last night in New York City. “We’re all off to college, we’re working."

"There’s a lot of guest stars coming on, new relationships are formed.”

In addition to Hilary Duff, former Privileged star Joanna Garcia will play a new love interest for heartthrob Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald).

Garcia plays a Texas socialite who rivals Nate in wealth and status - and may be off-limits: “We have sort of a Romeo and Juliet love story,” she says.

While love blooms on set, off-screen romances between Blake Lively and Penn Badgley and Szohr and Ed Westwick make the cast a tight-knit bunch.

But Garcia said the group has welcomed her with open arms.

“I was really nervous coming in,” says Joanna Garcia, who is currently slated to appear in four episodes. “[But] they’ve been so warm and welcoming and lovely. It’s been so nice. They’ve been making me feel like New York isn’t such a big city.”

Things won’t bet getting so warm and fuzzy on screen, however, as Jessica Szohr says there are plenty of surprises in store on Gossip Girl.

“Someone ends up not being who they say they are,” the 24-year-old actress reveals. “It’s just lots and lots of drama and crazy stuff.”

Also crazy: Gossip Girl’s fans, who clamor to catch a glimpse of the hot young cast while they’re shooting on location in the Big Apple.

“It’s been nuts. I don’t know what’s happened over our break,” Jessica Szohr says.

“None of us have ever seen it like how it’s been. But it’s a good thing. We’re blessed to be working on a fun show with cool people in New York.”

EW sources confirm that Joanna Garcia, star of The CW's Privileged (which was cancelled, to the surprise of some fans) has booked a four-episode story arc on Gossip Girl as a love interest for Chace Crawford's affluent alter ego, Nate Archibald.

Joanna Garcia will be playing the character of Bree Buckley, an irreverent, slightly evil Miss America-type who hails from a conservative Southern family.

She will first appear in the September 14 season premiere. Any predictions for what this means for Nate? How about the rest of the Gossip Girl gang?
