Despite no ending seemingly written for the character's story arc, the CW has confirmed that December 8 ("O Brother Where Bart Thou?") was the last we'll see of John Patrick Amedori, who had played Aaron Rose in the past six episodes.

From the lighter side of Gossip Girl news comes this funny story in the New York Post about someone even more weirded out about Aaron Rose than most.

The real Aaron Rose.

For weeks, many Gossip Girl fans have been ranting on sites like this one about its least popular character - greasy, disaffected downtown artist wannabe and Serena van der Woodsen love interest of indeterminate age, Aaron Rose.

Count the real-life Aaron among those who are far from pleased.

"I wish they would have made him cooler," says the former downtown artist who says he was contacted by a Gossip Girl writer six months ago, then heard nothing.

"It's funny and it's flattering, but there's a part of me that's like, 'Oh, go after them - this is not cool. They're messing with my reputation.'"

One reason: The fictional Aaron Rose - played by John Patrick Amedori - is clearly way older than Serena van der Woodsen, the high-schooler he's dating.

He enjoys layered scarves that  drown his diminutive frame; attempts to grow out a patchy goatee and creepy moustache and says things like, "I don't know how you do it in high school, but I enjoy dating more than one person at a time."

Worse, he makes and displays bad art.

The real Aaron Rose is now 39. He, too, is an artist, and in 1992 founded and opened the Alleged Gallery on Ludlow Street. The tiny gallery helped pioneer the Lower East Side as a home for scenesters and misfits - and Rose showed early work by now-established artists such as Mike Mills, Shepard Fairey and Spike Jonze.

Starting October 27, John Patrick Amedori is set to appear as Aaron Rose, a new love interest for Blake Lively’s character, Serena van der Woodsen.

The Maryland native, 21, talked to People magazine about it ...

Q: Tell us about your character, Aaron Rose.

JPA: He’s definitely a part of that Upper East Side [world]. I think he’s got a lot of money. But he chooses not to be around that. He probably lives on the Lower East Side or in Greenwich Village.

Q: How does he get involved with Serena van der Woodsen?

JPA: He has an art show at Dan’s father’s (Rufus Humphrey's) gallery. Serena goes to see Dan. He takes notice of her and remembers her from camp. She doesn’t remember him at first. That’s pretty much how they start talking.

Q: There are pictures of you kissing Blake Lively in Times Square with everyone watching. What was that like?

JPA: It was crazy. At first, Blake and I were nervous. When I walk in front of the camera, I kind of block everything out and it’s just Blake and me doing the scene. [Then] you realize our faces are as large as possible on this JumboTron and reality sets in.

Q: Was that the characters’ first kiss?

JPA: That was the first on-camera kiss for the relationship.
