This is random, but we think you'll have fun with it anyway. We often debate the merits of Gossip Girl couples, but which real-life pairing is your favorite?

Not that there's a wrong answer, really.

You have to love the fact that three different pairs of co-stars are currently dating - and not dating who their Gossip Girl characters are (at least right now).

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley have been an item since way back when Dan and Serena were a thing. Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr are a couple, as well.

Rounding out our survey are Leighton Meester and recurring guest star Sebastian Stan (Carter). All seem happy and more stable than their GG alter egos!

There's still hope for you (age appropriate) single guys and girls: We think Chace Crawford, Michelle Trachtenberg, Taylor Momsen and Connor Paolo are single.

In addition to the gay rumors surrounding Chuck and the stylish summer fashions of the cast, one interesting lip-lock came to light thanks to the promotional photos released yesterday by the CW in advance of Gossip Girl's Season 3 premiere.

It looks like Gossip Girl's Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan, who dates Leighton Meester in real life) is getting close to Blake Lively's Serena van der Woodsen.

Those of us who follow the behind-the-scenes photos from the set on a daily basis were not surprised to see this. But still, who is Carter Baizen, really?

From what we know of him through Seasons 1 and 2, he may not be the most reliable-seeming fellow, but even if you don't trust Carter, you'd better get used to him.

E! says he is a major figure in the first seven episodes of Season 3!

Moreover, while nothing's set in stone right now, it's likely that on top of the early-season run, he will recur heavily throughout the year in some capacity.

Blake Lively and Sebastian Stan were spotted in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens yesterday afternoon, filming scenes for the upcoming Season 3 of Gossip Girl.

What do you suppose Serena and Carter are talking about?

As executive producer Stephanie Savage teased in some recent Gossip Girl spoilers, these two are brought together by an important story line early this season.

To at least some degree, we know it involves Serena's long-lost father Keith. But how this potential couple deals with it - and each other - remains to be seen.

Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan are getting serious.

The Gossip Girl star and her boyfriend, who co-starred as Carter Baizen in the first two seasons and will be back again in Season 3, spent Saturday afternoon drinking champagne at Day & Night Restaurant Beach Club in Southampton, N.Y.

Then they headed to the premiere of Stan's flick Spread in East Hampton.

"They are really in love," says a friend of the couple. "They plan on moving in together soon." Not sure if it's true, but that would be exciting if so!

Later that night, Sebastian Stan and Leighton Meester hit up Lily Pond night club with Spread star Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore, who were staying at friend Donna Karan's East Hampton home, as well as with Josh Lucas.

Don't Leighton and Sebastian make a cute couple?

Leighton Meester and boyfriend Sebastian Stan may not be friendly on Gossip Girl, but in real life, he feels fortunate to be in a relationship with her.

“I’m a really lucky guy,” Stan, 25, said at the premiere of Taking Woodstock in New York City on Thursday. “Leighton is the most interesting, sophisticated, talented and extremely funny person that I know. She’s really hilarious.”

While Sebastian Stan gives his costar Ed Westwick the evil eye when his character Chuck Bass gets to make out with Meester’s Blair Waldorf, it’s all in jest - and he says everyone always remains professional when it comes to romantic scenes.

“It’s work and everyone shares the same mentality when it comes to that. We all laugh about it,” he says. “The good part is I get to go home with her.”

On Gossip Girl, Carter Baizen may be putting the moves on Serena van der Woodsen, but in real life, Sebastian Stan's heart is with his co-star Leighton Meester.

Besides, Stan gets his own kissing scenes with Blake Lively in the upcoming Season Three, which returns September 14. In preparation, the actor skips the breath mints and goes for an unconventional route of eating fruit before he puckers up.

“I try to stick to apples and pears to keep it more interesting,” he said.

Stan says that when his character Carter Baizen’s background is revealed, it will stir up trouble with the Upper East Siders - especially Serena van der Woodsen.

“They are revealing his history, where he comes from,” says Stan. “His whole background involves Serena’s character. It’s different from the other relationships.”

Yesterday's batches of photos from the Gossip Girl set brought both a serious Chair heat wave and some intriguing questions about Serena's kissing partners.

We've seen something like this before.

Last season, Leighton Meester was seen smooching two fellows on the Gossip Girl set on the same day. That was a bit of trickery to throw us off for the season finale, as we now know. Could today's Blake Lively photos be similar head games from the producers?

EXHIBIT A: Here's Blake kissing Penn Badgley, her real-life boyfriend and co-star. Everything we've read suggests Dan and Serena are broken up, but ...

This could just be them kissing in between takes, as we suggested the last time we saw what we thought was an on-set Derena embrace. But we sort of doubt it.

EXHIBIT B: Blake was also spotted smooching Sebastian Stan (Carter Baizen). We've heard Serena and Carter may become an item. It sure looks like it ...
